A calling, then a discipline.

Members of the Council are drawn from every walk of Christian life. They progress through grades of service — not honours of status — earned by training, witness, and faithful labour.

Grades of Membership

    Companion
    Entry-level supporter.
  2. 02
    Squire
    Training member.
  3. 03
    Knight / Dame
    Full member following training and service requirements.
  4. 04
    Commander
    Leadership appointment.
  5. 05
    Preceptor
    Local unit leader.
  6. 06
    Prior
    National or regional leader.
  7. 07
    Grand Prior
    Senior international leader.

Requirements

Members of the Council must:

  • Profess the Christian faith.
  • Demonstrate good character.
  • Support the Council's mission.
  • Complete safeguarding training.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct.
Ceremonial Dress

White mantle · red Templar cross · Council insignia · service decorations.

Operational Dress

Practical civilian uniform with identification insignia and high-visibility equipment where required.

No military camouflage or military rank insignia.
